16ER AG55 CB T450, 55° partial profle external threading insert in grade T450.

Will cut 48-8 TPI threads.

Sold in boxes of 10, intended for high volume lost cost single point threading.

CB Chip geometry for impoved chip evacuation enhanced for cutting a wide range of threads.

Proflle of the cutting tip is made to a sharp point so the root of the thread will not be full form. The workpiece should be turned down before threading so that the crest forms a truncated thread to avoid interference with the mating part.

Grade T450 features multi layer AlTiNSi(N) PVD coating with a substrate of premium quality wear resistant submicron grain carbide for use on a wide range of materials and is good all types of steel and stainless also good for cast iron and other materials first choice for general use.

This PVD coated grade covers P25, M25, K30, S15, H10 range of materials, suitable for dry cutting.
