These tips turn my toy lathe into a metal munching beast. They peel off aluminium like its tin foil and leave a finish so shiny its hard to photograph. I've filled up several buckets of chips so far without any signs of wear.
I got these to try for woodturning. They cut very aggressively and because they have pointed corners they can be very catchy. Thus you have to be very careful and concentrate very hard. Unlike the round cutters which are great, I am not so sure these 'pointy' cutters are so suitable for wood. Service is excellent.
