3.175mm (1/8") Diameter 2 Flute Up Cut Carbide Router - Slot Drill. 8mm Length of Cut, Overall Length 38mm, Shank Diameter 3.175mm (1/8").

These 2 Flute Spiral router bits are suitable for use on Hardwood, Softwood MDF, Laminate Board, Plywood, Particle Board and other Sheeting, Insulation Panels, PVC and Acrylic.

Up Cut Spiral Routing Cutters have a sharp cutting edge that push the chips towards the router. They will produce a good quality finish on the bottom of the slot while retaining a good cutting speed, if chipping of the top surface is a concern then consider down cut type tools. Suitable for plunge cutting.

Use lower feed rate when depth of cut increases, choose cutters with the shortest flute length that is suitable for the job with as little overhang as possible. Clearance of cutting chips may be required to prevent chip jamming.

Suitable for CNC, hand held and desktop routers.

Made from wear resistant Uncoated Carbide for increased tool life.

Speeds and Feeds, based on a max depth of 1 x diameter with high accuracy spindle and collets with optimum stability of spindle and workpiece holding, reduce feed rate for suboptimal conditions.
When cutting more than 1 x diameter reduce feed rate. For guidance only if vibration is produced try lowering the feed rate if not successful try raising feed very slowly, if no vibration is present increased feed rate may be possible.
