Uses round inserts with octagon shaped base for accurate indexing providing 4 or 8 edges depending on depth of cut.

Cutter bodies will accept RDHX 1204MO, RPHX 1204MO and RPMX 1204MO inserts with octagon base.

Insert used: RPMX1204MO-H NK135
Face mill mounted on ISO40 holder also from APT, type DIN2080 40-FMB22-45.

DofCut: 1.5mm
Width of cut: ~50mm
Spindle speed: 290rpm
Feed:225mm/min
No cutting fluid, light breeze of compressed air only...to keep the scaling dust away.

Squared up 6 pcs. of c45 steel blocks 120x50x80mm 36 sides all together.... which will soon be new tool holders for my lathe.
Result: Almost mirror finish!!
